MVC public site: How to keep selected menu item #4634

Hey :)

I have a public site set up with abp suite. That is MVC land and to my shame I am still a noob on that field.

This is my situation: We have a left side menu which is always opened. The menu contains items with other items in them. For example products/bounce houses. If I click on bounce houses, I get redirected to another site. on the new site, information about the currently opened menu is gone (I understand that this is the case because MVC is stateless).

Can you please guide me on how to make it so that the menu acts normal?

Issue 1 - menu close (mobile only)

The menu does not automatically close on mobile devices:

Steps to reproduce the issue:

Setup new blazor server side project and add something to the menu (or simply install file management module)
start app and view as mobile device
open menu (button in the middle) and click something

Issue 2 - Does not scroll to top after navigation

When navigating to a site you're not getting scrolled to the top.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

Setup new blazor server side project and add something to the menu (or simply install file management module)
start app and view as mobile device
Go to some page and scroll to bottom
Go to another page: you are also at the bottom

Issue 3 - Scrolling up sometimes does not work (mobile only)

I have a site where scrolling down works, but scrolling to top again does not work. It is only reproducable on mobile devices. I cannot share the code for that in public. Is there any way I can show you?

Issue 4 - Selected Item in Menu bar (mobile only)

Click on settings to open settings
Click on settings again.

As you see, settings is still highlighted, although not opened.

In addition, if I am on settings and click some of the other elements, this happens:

The settings menu does not close and other menu items are highlighted as well. May be related to Issue 1. Seems to only happen for Settings and the menu button in the middle

I just found out that I am able to download the source code. After some digging I found out that the issue is inside the style-initializer.

If I changed the code to the following :

Consider renaming project for public site #4309

If using public site, a project named Public will be generated - leading to Public being part of a namespace.

Eg. MyApp.Web.Public.Menu

That leads to CA1716

warning CA1716: Rename namespace MyApp.Web.Public.Menu so that it no longer conflicts with the reserved language keyword 'Public'. Using a reserved keyword as the name of a namespace makes it harder for consumers in other languages to use the namespace.

Steps to reproduce the issue: Try to debug in Visual Studio

Hey :) If I try to debug my solution I get above error. Already tried refreshing my login using abp logout and abp login. I am not debugging inside of a container.

Need help here, because I am blocked >.< > Update: Seems like I am non blocking - just annoying

just out of curiosity - here you say that you are using native UI instead of blazor hybrid. Is there any specific reason for that?

I wanted to take a look at blazor hybrid in order to hopefully maximize code reusage, that's why I'm asking.

Public site menu placement left #3383

This is somewhat a follow up of #3241

When removing lp-topmenu in aspnet-core\src\MyCompanyName.MyProjectName.Web.Public\Themes\Lepton\Layouts\Public\Default.cshtml this leads to some pretty weird behavior.

Background

if you scroll a bit, it looks like this:

I removed that using

@media only screen and (min-width: 992px) {
    .landing-header {
        background: none !important;
        height: 100%;
    }
}

But is that good?

The footer also looks weird

So we now have:

language and login still on top - menu hover weird

As you can see here, the language selection and login menu are still on top and it does not align correctly. And as you can see - I hovered over "Home". Also not looking as it's supposed to.

Got no solution for that >.<

Page rebuilds/ menu flickering

The weirdest thing though is this. When navigating to a new page, the menu takes it space after the page has loaded. This does not look very nice as you can see.

I tried changing the css to the following:

Public site menu placement left #3241

Hey :)

I have the requirement that the public site's menu is on the left and not on the top. In the settings however, I can only specify menu placement of the "normal" web app:

Changes in appsettings.jsonalso have no effect.

    "Volo.Abp.LeptonTheme.Layout.Boxed": "False",

May it be, that this is not implemented or am I missing something?

If it is not implemented, what would be the easiest approach to get the menu on the left side? Sorry for asking, but I am a noob when it comes to MVC.

Blazor UI, Lepton Theme, Menu does not close after navigating #2837

Hello :)

I noticed that the navigation menu does not close after clicking on a site, which is an issue on low res devices. This issue can be reproduced on the easy-crm solution.

Steps to reproduce the issue

Run easy crm blazor-ui (along with api)
Change Dimension to something low like iPhone SE
Click on Menu and navigate somewhere like Dashboard

If you click somewhere non-clickable in the menu, it will close and you see that the site has been loaded.

Expected behavior: Menu closes like on other UI frameworks or on the free blazor theme.
